Victoria Nwabuisi
for Councillor, District of North Vancouver
The District of North Vancouver is changing. Our community is growing, new families are putting down roots, and people from across Canada and around the world are choosing to call the DNV their home.
Change can sometimes feel uncertain. But I believe we don’t have to be afraid of it or close ourselves off from it.
We can embrace change, prepare thoughtfully for what’s ahead, and make sure that as our community grows, we preserve the things that make North Vancouver feel like home.
As a first-generation Canadian who has chosen to make North Vancouver my home, I feel incredibly blessed to be raising my family here. This community is truly special. There’s a reason families have called North Vancouver home for generations—and there’s a reason so many people are choosing to build their lives here today.
To honour the choice of numerous families, we must maintain and improve the structures, systems, services and community rhythms that make the District of North Vancouver such a wonderful place to live, while also being willing to look ahead and thoughtfully prepare for the future.
I’m running because I believe
North Vancouver’s best days can still be ahead of us.
Voting day is October 17, 2026
What I’m running on
Progress and preservation don’t have to be opposites.
We can plan for growth while protecting what matters.
We can welcome new neighbours while strengthening the community we already love.
And we can make decisions today that ensure North Vancouver remains a place where families can thrive for generations to come.
I am committed to:
Listening with curiosity and empathy — making space for different perspectives and working toward the community we all want to build.
Speaking up with courage and compassion — advocating for the issues that matter to residents, families, seniors, businesses and the many sectors that make North Vancouver strong.
Representing the next generation — bringing a fresh perspective to Council and helping ensure that the decisions we make today serve not only our community now, but the North Vancouver we are leaving for our children.
I’m running because I believe North Vancouver can grow without losing its heart.
Together, we can prepare for the future, strengthen our community, and preserve what matters most.
